This is a beautiful, cozy home in the Berkeley Hills. In the Mediterranean style, it was built in 1930. It is comfortable and inviting. Enter through the gate to a lovely courtyard. The main floor has formal living and dining room with a deck of approximately 300 square feet that has a covered seating and dining area. There is a heater on the deck to keep you warm and cozy while enjoying views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco. An updated kitchen and casual dining area are also on the main floor. On the second story, there are two large bedrooms, two bathrooms and an office with spectacular views. The large office and 2nd bathroom are accessible through the primary bedroom. Like most houses in the Berkeley Hills, there is central heat but no cooling. The primary bedroom has a ceiling fan for cooling on one of the few hot days during the summer months. Below the home is a hillside garden complete with decks, stairways, and a sports court for bocce ball and similar sports. The garden is maintained by the owner and a gardener. There is a studio under the house accessible through the stairs to the garden. This studio is not included in the rental.
