This condo in the heart of San Francisco would be the perfect home-away-from-home for a couple or family visiting the Bay Area for an extended stay. It's home to a family of three (parents and a two-year-old) who will be away on sabbatical during the Spring 2024 semester. With two bedrooms, dramatic 15-foot ceilings, and a cozy loft workspace, it's an ideal space in which to live and work. The location makes it easy to commute to nearly any part of San Francisco or the East Bay: there are two BART stations within a 15-minute walk, a Muni metro station within a 5-minute walk, and a highway entrance just blocks away that can put you on the Bay Bridge in under 10 minutes. A parking spot in an underground parking garage (accessible via elevator from the building) is included in the rental, as well as bike storage in the garage, and access to a communal courtyard where social events are regularly hosted. For guests looking to enjoy a taste of San Francisco culture, as well, the location can't be beat: within an easy walk, you can be in the Castro, the Mission District, Hayes Valley, Civic Center, or SoMa, and even within the few blocks around the condo, you'll never run out of new restaurants to try, along with an abundance of eclectic nightlife. Despite the bustling city life all around, though, the fact that the bedrooms are set back from the road makes this condo a quiet and peaceful refuge even on the busiest nights. The master bedroom has a king size bed, while the second bedroom is currently set up with a toddler bed for a 2-5 year-old. We plan to replace the toddler bed with a twin bed before we leave on sabbatical, unless you would like us to leave the toddler bed (which can be converted back into a crib, if that's what you would like).
