Quiet, 1 BR, 1 bath with private entrance in vibrant neighborhood near UW

I stayed with Denice for 3 months from April to July. The apartment itself is lovely and actually much bigger than the images make it appear. The apartment has ample storage, a comfortable bed and a well-equipped kitchen for your stay. There is plenty of light even though the apartment is in the basement. The garden is very lush and peaceful and a great place to read a book or (regrettably) catch up on emails. Denice and Jim have sorted out all things like wifi, trash, recycling and mail to make your stay easy. They were lovely hosts and I hope to see them again if I can revisit Seattle. The private entrance was helpful for me to access the apartment after coming back late from work. I would reccomend staying here for an internship at AI2!

I had a great time at Denice’s place. Her apartment is very cozy, furnished with style and everything you need for a pleasant stay. Her place is well-located and has convenient bus connections to the University of Washington as well as to Downtown. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance and there is a wonderful park (with botanical garden and zoo) one block away. Denice and her partner were very kind to me and very helpful. They also did everything possible to accommodate my special requests concerning for instance early check-in. I really felt at home and I will definitely rent their place again for future stays in Seattle.

I stayed in the apartment for three months from mid October with my wife for my sabbatical at UW. We very much enjoyed to live here because of very convenient and comfortable location, and very kind host. Denice is very excellent host. She kindly gives us a lot of information about the life in Seattle. Transportation is very convenient to go to UW by taking bus#44 and to downtown by taking E-line. There are some beautiful parks; Woodland park, Greenlake, and zoo around here. In the backyard, many birds including humming birds visit everyday. We loved watching these birds from our unit. As for shopping, there are many restaurants, shops and supermarket in Wallingford. Also we frequently went to Marketime foods to buy delicious delis. If we have an opportunity to stay in Seattle again, definitely we want to live here again.

Denice is an amazing host and her home is perfect. We had a lovely stay. Everything was very clean and she was more than willing to make our stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. Denice is very friendly and was very helpful with information about travelling in Seattle.

This has been an ideal setting for working at the UW with easy public transport to the campus and to downtown Seattle. It is also easy walking distance to Greenlake Park, Woodland Park Zoo, and lots of fun restaurants and grocery shopping in Wallingford. The unit is very clean, well-furnished, and is effectively designed to have lots of light and everything you would need during your stay. Good privacy and security. The property is extremely well-kept with beautiful gardens that change throughout the seasons. Just lovely!

I feel fortunate to have spent two different long term stays in Denice’s apartment. The apartment is extremely well designed and appointed. It is spotless and in excellent shape. As a bonus, there is a beautiful back yard to sit in and do whatever. And, importantly, Denice promptly responds to any issue or need. If you are lucky, you might even get to share a yummy home cooked meal with Denice!

I rented the apartment to stay for 6 months for my sabbatical at UW. The apartment worked out great and the landlady was fantastic. The apartment is in a nice and safe neighborhood, it is clean, very well equipped and in perfect condition. The unit has a separate entry - through a beautiful little garden, in which I used to sit and read every once in a while. One of the best features for me was the fact that a stop of a bus going to UW (and the City Center) is in walking distance. I am sure that I would not have been faster to go there if I had rented a car. I have only sweet memories of my stay and strongly recommend the Apartment. Kornelia

Denice is a great landlord, and the unit is in a very good shape! It has everything needed and is well-functioning both as an apartment and in terms of its location. Oh, and the garden is just gorgeous! We stayed in the unit for 10 months with my wife, and everything worked as smoothly as one could hope - from seeing the apartment way ahead of time to getting a ride to the next address at the end of our lease. There were no surprises or any other bumps on the road - we can wholeheartedly recommend the listing and Denice as a host!
