Historian seeking sunlight, a good kitchen, and a place to play my cello

I've recently relocated to San Diego and my ideal space would be a guesthouse or studio dwelling, though I'm open to sharing space with the right people or house-sitting for a while. Having a private outdoor space and a great kitchen are important to me, though I'm a minimalist and am good at developing creative spatial solutions, so I'm open to a range of housing situations. I'm an anthropologist/historian in the process of putting down roots and building community. I'm active in the Fulbright alumni community, and am building bridges with community supported agriculture, environmental and social justice folks, writers, musicians, and nature lovers. I'm a novice cellist (started playing a few years ago at 50). I strive to play for 30-60 minutes most days and enjoy lots of different kinds of music. I don't need to play my music loudly, but I do need to be able to play in my space during reasonable hours. I'm clean, responsible, and respectful. I'm an introvert who enjoys meeting and spending time with people and also need my own space and time alone. I've spent most of my life in academic circles, but am presently not employed at a university. Currently a part-time consultant, I'm financially secure and exploring ways to use my eclectic skills and talents to serve people and planet.
