Description
Fancy an escape to Northern California? We are an almost-retired couple. One of us will become emeritus at UC Berkeley soon, the other recently retired from the UK civil service. We have family in Stockholm and southern Chile. We would like home exchanges for family visits, as well as to spend more time in other parts of the world. Our house is in Point Richmond, a quiet enclave right on the water. There is a bus to BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit), Berkeley and Oakland. The house is a 25 minute drive to UC Berkeley, which can also be reached by bus and BART. There is a ferry from Richmond to downtown San Francisco. It’s a beautiful ride and crosses the Bay in 35 minutes. The ferry terminal is a short drive or 15-minute bike ride from the house. A car is recommended. Enjoy comfort, peace and quiet, with the Bay at your doorstep.

Comments: Large outdoor deck and garden. Views of the north tower of the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island and Marin County. Beautiful sunsets! Point Richmond is an historic neighborhood by an active port. It’s a wonderful place to work, write and live.
