Gay older academic couple immersed in culture looking to swap beautifully furnished large home (featured in historic home tours) for 1-2 week holiday in an international city. Preference for Paris or London but open to other locations. Our Home is in a distinct Victorian close knit neighborhood in the city. While it is in the city, we know all our neighbors. A morning espresso is a ten minute walk away the cafe (great collection of cheese and wine) where they know our name. Subway, bus station, and other restaurants are also there. Extensive collection of artwork and books, art, history, and culture. Ideal for a writer's retreat, or someone who doesn't want to feel like they're staying in a high volume airbnb with plastic furniture. We're in the southern section in Boston city limits, so convenient to drive to Cape Cod, coastal towns on the south shore, and even Rhode Island. We often take the train to NYC on the Acela for a weekend. Easy and quick subway trip to South Station (red line) to catch the Amtrak train. If you wanted to stay in Boston but also include a trip to NYC. We're also a 2o minute drive to the Longwood Medical area with all the teaching hospitals and Harvard Medical School. Since we're on the red Subway line (10 minute walk from our house), it's direct to downtown crossing (Boston) stop and Harvard Square stop (Cambridge). Also, 1.5 miles from Milton Academy. House is 3 stories with a bedroom with king bed on the second floor and two studies. The third floor has 2 bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchenette. Great set up for two couples who may be traveling together. Our preference is for older adults.
