Quiet, Secluded Maisonette Overlooking a Park in vibrant Berlin Mitte

Our modern maisonette apartment, spread over the first and second floors, offers a master bedroom and a second bedroom for 1 with a desk and an ensuite bathroom. A second bed can be set-up in this room for the night for an occasional guest but doesn't leave much space for walking around. The light-filled living room on the upper floor opens onto a large balcony overlooking the neighbouring park. On the lower floor, the dining and kitchen area features large glass doors opening onto an inviting private terrace. Located in vibrant Berlin Mitte, it is an ideal base for exploring the city. We are in Berlin Mitte, right on the border with Prenzlauer Berg, and our neighbourhood is a favourite among expats, with a vibrant international atmosphere and a lively start-up and creative scene. Many of Berlin’s main attractions are within easy reach, and there are more than 40 cafés, restaurants and places to eat within a 500-meter radius. Public transport connections are excellent, making it easy to get anywhere in the city. Humboldt-University and the Staatsbibliothek Mitte are within walking distance or a short bike-ride away. Yet, once you step through the main entrance, the well-kept building feels peaceful and secluded. The complex has a small shared garden and friendly, helpful neighbours, many of whom, like us, have an international and professional background. We are a family of four and have been living in Berlin since 2012. Since one of us is currently a Visiting Scholar on a sabbatical with our two children we are looking for someone to take good care of our apartment for the Wintersemester 2026/27. One of us remains in Berlin, staying at a separate residence during this period, and can help with any questions.
