The Ballard house dates back to 1905 when it was likely a farm house. It has since been a family home now occupied by an architect and his journalist wife who live between Seattle and Australia. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, overlooking Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. It is close to the restaurants, shops and nightlife of increasingly trendy Ballard. It is a short drive to the University of Washington and downtown Seattle. There are a number of lovely walks nearby including to Shilshole Bay Marina. The main living area is on two levels. Sitting, dining room, television area, kitchen, sun-room and one bathroom on the lower level. Two bedrooms, a dressing room, two bathrooms and a study with a fold out Queen bed on the second level. There is also an attic which is for owner storage and an un-renovated basement which has a laundry and tool area.
