We preserved the cute, cottage-like exterior of this small Victorian-era house, built around 1885, but we completely renovated the interior. An uncluttered, contemporary space, with lots of light, provided by two skylights and by French doors, one on each of the two floors, at the back of the house. The appliances (Wolf, Duravit, Liebherr, Miele) are of the highest standard and environmentally efficient. Custom-made walnut furniture throughout the house includes cabinets and, in the kitchen, a purpose-designed table and built-in bench. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and French doors looking onto to the back garden. The second bedroom, suitable for adults or older children, has a queen-size bed as well. The large main bathroom with walk-in shower and a deep bathtub is illuminated during the day by a skylight. There is a powder room on main floor. High quality cotton bedding and towels. The yards have been designed by a landscape architect and are professionally maintained. The back garden includes a patio with seating areas, a dining table and a Weber charcoal barbecue.
