Double bedroom in 2-bed apartment. You would be sharing the bathroom, kitchen and a spacious living room with me (academic, early 40s). I am away a lot, so much of the time you would have the place to yourself, but when I'm in London I work from home. Fully furnished with washing machine, dishwasher etc. I can provide towels, bedding etc if required. Close to Bethnal Green tube (6-min walk), Cambridge Heath station and buses on Bethnal Green Road and Hackney Road. Walking distance to Brick Lane, Columbia Road, Shoreditch, Victoria Park.
