This house was built in 1764! We absolutely love our house because it has a lot of historical character (18th century colors, floors, staircase, doors) but all the modern features needed to be in a comfy house (central air, AC, washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc). Since we have 2 kids, almost every room as an office space to work while supervising the kids. We spend a lot of time in our garden, which is a luxury when living in the heart of a big city. We have tons of books (mostly in French and English) and a lot of toys! The house is conveniently located near restaurants, shops, bookstores, libraries and 4 movie theaters (10 to 12 min walking distance). The neighborhood is also the best if you have kids (playgrounds, kids gym, yoga studios, daycare, pediatrician, public schools). There is also a farmer market (5 min walk from the house each Sunday), a direct bus to go to Penn/ CHOP and a metro line (15 min walk). If you like to shop, it's 5 min walk from busy South Street. If you like to run, there's a nice River walk close by near the Seaport Museum. Lots of highways also if you need a car to work. The house has 4 floors: kitchen and living room on 1st floor; office and a bedroom on 2nd floor; kid bedroom and office space on 3rd floor; and a bedroom and office space on 4th floor.
