Faculty at four local universities, professionals, and persons returning for more graduate study have loved being housemates here. Most do not wish to leave. It is a home shared by two in Forest Hills. Easy access to downtown, Duke, and 147. Unique architecture in a lovely neighborhood. Lots of trees. Great for writing, pause, and getting away from the rat race. This tends to fill rapidly. The house is a Richard Harkrader original (If his name is unfamiliar just google him in Durham to see what he was after when he built the home in the early 1980s) Bedroom does share bathroom with a woman who is an exceptional researcher at Duke, turning age 30 this year, with advanced degrees from Washington University in St. Louis. Office nooks, painting spaces, and privacy are easy to create with. 2 large living rooms, roomy kitchen, and a private deck overseeing a large yard.. See photos of the house here: http://s1282.photobucket.com/user/itssda/slideshow/House%20Pics (Please do note that photos were taken during the tenancy of another. It is far more open space today.) 12-month leases only. $750 per month** Available in mid-June. Carport wide enough for two vehicles, many bikes, and any tools you wish. No pets. No smoking inside or out. References and background check required. ** Many consider the space worth far more than the price. We are not seeking to make a profit. We are seeking good stewards. It matters most to us that others love the house like we do. It matters to us not to exclude inadvertently, because of elite education of owner and other housemate.
