Welcome to Halifax - The colourful, historic, and beautiful capital city of Nova Scotia on Canada’s east coast! Our non-smoking home is in a 12-story upscale apartment building overlooking an ocean cove. The apartment comes fully furnished and is ideal for faculty or graduate students. WHAT YOU WILL LOVE ABOUT THIS APARTMENT Your home away from home is a spacious one bedroom plus den/office/bedroom. It's an open-concept apartment with wall-to-ceiling windows, sliding doors and a massive balcony and alcove stretching the entire length of the apartment, overlooking the ocean cove. The large kitchen is equipped with everything you need including a wonderful Breville Barista Express Coffee Machine. A pub table overlooks the kitchen and a laundry room with a washer/dryer is located just off the kitchen as well. The living room is large and bright and comfortable, with artwork from our travels and a music corner. There is also a TV and a small desk for checking your emails with our high-speed internet. There are two large bathrooms, one with a wonderful deep soaking tub/shower, and the other with a large walk-in shower. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed with a sunny sitting area overlooking the balcony, a TV, electric fireplace and a large walk-in closet., The second bedroom/den/office comes equipped with a desk, chest of drawers, and a comfortable queen-size Murphy bed. WHAT YOU WILL LOVE ABOUT THE NEIGHBOURHOOD Our central location in Halifax could not be more ideal. Dalhousie University is directly across the cove from us and a short ten-minute drive away, as is the downtown waterfront. We are surrounded by forest and even though we are in the heart of this vibrant city, it almost seems like we are a world away. For outdoor enthusiasts, we are right next door to the incredible forest walking/running trails of Sir Sandford Fleming Park which also meanders alongside beautiful lakes and the ocean cove. Just south of us is Herring Cove Bluffs, a stunning coastal walk that is similar to Peggy’s Cove without the lighthouse or crowds. This area also has numerous beautiful beaches (ie. Crystal Crescent Beach) and it is very popular with cyclists who don’t mind a few hills! We are also ideally situated for shopping and day-tripping around the province.
