I am dividing my time between Europe and NYC, and am looking for someone to take care of my home while I am away. I have a lovely 2 BR apartment half a block from the highest point of Manhattan, on the top 5th floor of a walkup. Smaller bedroom has been set up as a home office, and the bedroom has a nice California King bed. There is a new queen size airmattress with new pillows, comforter and linens that can be set up in the office permanently or if you have visitors and there is a new corner sleeper sofa with storage in the living room (not the sofa in the photos). Office, bathroom and bedroom all face west and the street, and all you see is sky and the top floors of the Tudor apartment buildings across the street. Very quiet neighborhood on a tree lined street with no through traffic, this is one of the best kept secrets of NYC. A express train takes you to midtown in 15-20 min, and you have all you need within 3-4 blocks of the apartment: Grocery stores, bank, restaurants, nail salons and hairdressers and so on. Perfect for someone at Columbia presbyterian for example, or a couple who wants to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan we all know from TV and movies.. Closet and drawers in bedroom will be emptied for you, as well as hall closet @ the entrance. I provide bed linen and towels for both the Ca King bed and the Queen air mattress.
