I am a career professional artist (sculpture and painting www.americansculptor.com). Ideally, I would like to rent, or exchange for a quiet property in an vibrant urban environment that would have creative space on premises, or available nearby. I would consider rental, or exchange in a suburban, or rural location under the right conditions (close to train etc.) I am open to exchange, or rental possibilities worldwide, 1 month to 1 year +. I would prefer a property that would allow room for occasional (adult) family/Friends visits. I’m open to discussing “house sitting needs”. My property: Beautiful suburban location in Highland Park Illinois. Located within walking distance to Lake Michigan. 35 minutes to O’Hare International Airport. Wonderful neighbors on all sides. Great environment for families with kids. Award winning public and private schools nearby. Moderately easy walk to beaches and train. Steps to Chicago Botanic Gardens and the renowned Ravinia Festival. Nearby access to bike baths into northshore communities of Lake Forest, Glencoe, Winettka, Evanston and on into Chicago. Numerous forest preserves nearby - It’s a hiking and bird watching paradise!. The neighborhood is a great mix of families and retired professionals. The home has 5 bedrooms plus a private, sun drenched office, or it may be utilized as 4 bedrooms and workout room or play room plus office. Our home is art filled, and fully furnished including towels and linens. The kitchen is fully equipped down to my favorite chef’s knife, food processors, baking/cooking accoutrement and my beloved cast iron skillet’s. The dining room can accommodate 8-10 guests. The main level offers the 2 story entryway, office, 1/2 bath and a large sunny family room/studio. The upper level includes 4 bedrooms (or 3 bedrooms plus workout/play room), 1 full bathroom with double vanity and the en-suite master bedroom shower, a large sunny living room, a large dining room exiting to patio and a large kitchen with a large in kitchen eating space. The entire house has been remodeled, short of the kitchen. While not a “chef’s kitchen” it provides double ovens, a microwave, a large built in refrigerator-freezer, DW and updated gas stove for the cooking enthusiast. The lower level includes the 2 car + garage entry, a mud-room with tile floor, cabinetry and granite bench, a laundry room with tub and tile floor, a bathroom with shower that adjoins the laundry room as well as bedroom 5, a VERY LARGE family room/recreation room with built in desks, and a kitchenette with a granite countered wet bar with seating for 4, a 2nd dishwasher, 2nd refrigerator/freezer, and 2nd microwave. I am happy to include membership access (as guests) for 4, to the Museum at The art Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Botanic Gardens.
