Furnished Room in Brownstone- Historic Neighborhood

I had a wonderful stay at Walis’ apartment. The neighborhood and location were perfect, and the brownstone houses around are amazing! It felt safe and quiet, with grocery stores, restaurants, and train stations just a short walk away (1 min to G line and 10 min to A/C lines). The apartment was spacious, clean, and very comfortable.

Walis is a great host! Kind, respectful, and always quick to respond to any inquiries. I truly appreciated her care and hospitality.

I spent my Fulbright in Walis' beautiful brownstone in Clinton Hill in Brooklyn between February and May 2025. I can't say enough good things about the home, location and overall experience.

Firstly, Walis is a wonderful host. Warm, welcoming and an amazing person to have a real conversation with. The home itself is great. A spacious and warm room, all the amenities you could need. My housemates were also wonderful and so easy to get along with.

The location in Clinton Hill is also wonderful. I loved the community feel, the coffee shop on the corner (Mike's!) was a home from home and the area is full of great places to eat, fun bars and a great vibe. I will miss the place so much :(

I had the most amazing experience living in this place for an academic year, and look forward to a second one! WDJ is a wonderful and kind person, very responsive to any questions that arose during my stay, and very accommodating. The room is the only living space situated on the top foor of the building, with a private bathroom and a living room/kitchen shared among tenants. The room is quite spacious and has all necessary furnishings as well as plenty of storage space, the shower has great pressure/temperature, and all other facilities met my needs. The location couldn't be better--quiet street with beautiful trees near DT Brooklyn! G line metro and buses less than 1 min walk away. Felt very safe and comfortable during all seasons.

Exactly as advertised! Beautiful home in a quiet and calm neighborhood yet conveniently located with the subway, groceries, and restaurants very close by. Very spacious and homey with lots of natural light thanks to large windows. Washer and dryer in unit, and fully stocked kitchen. On top of all that Walis is very warm and friendly. Overall great experience, highly recommend if you are looking for a comfortable welcoming space in a great location.

The house is very warm. The bedrooms are extremely big and spacious. The Kitchen is fully equipped and there's even a dining area. A washing machine is available, which is very conveninent.

The neighborhood is very calm while at the same time close to bars and restaurants. Also close to Fort Green Park, where I used to run. It is also close to subway lines that allow to quickly reach Manhattan. I definitely recommand this place,

I spent the entire year 2022-2023 at this stunning home in Clinton Hill and loved every minute of it!

- The area: fantastic! Around the corner from the G line subway stop (Wash-Clinton) which gets you almost directly to Manhattan in 30 min. Close to Fort Greene park and an easy run to Prospect park, and plenty of restaurants and shopping. The neighbourhood is quiet and you'll definitely get the necessary rest and find calm after a busy day in the city.

- The house: the bedrooms are extremely big and spacious. Lots of closet space and again, the house is warm, calm and inviting. Kitchen (and house generally) is fully equipped and there's even a dining area (a rare find in NYC spaces). Two bathrooms, in-unit washer and dryer.
