We have moved to London for two years from our home in France. Our large family home is in Saint Laurent de Neste, the last village in our valley before the foothills of the Pyrenees start. The house opens on to the village, a wonderful boulangerie is opposite. There is also an independent village shop / cafe with a dedicated fromagerie and greengrocer selling local produce and seasonal fruit and vegetables, a pharmacy, the Maison du Savoir (with a cinema, mediateque and biblioteque), tabac, and a farmers' shop. Our home, which we have restored, is full of traditional French period features - original oak floors, marble fireplaces, shutters, and high ceilings. The kitchen and bathrooms are all brand new with high tech fittings. Our tech is up to date with an 'invisible' Samsung frame TV and fast fibre optic wifi connection across the entire house. There is a printer and monitor in the home office. There are two large main bedrooms on the 1st floor (master and guest) and two huge bedrooms on the top floor which would work well for children but could easily be used for adults or guests. The two top bedroom are full of books, toys, puzzles, games. There is a dolls house, dressing up box, art station, interactive maps, and lots of Lego. There is another very private bedroom with beautiful light if you need it at the other end of the house. There home office is tucked away and looks out on the mountains and opens on to a covered veranda / balcony which wraps around the whole garden side of the house. Our garden is full of mature trees, we have pears, raspberries, figs and cherries all growing in the garden. There is a lawn with shaded areas for dining and lounging. Our garden flows into our small meadow which then leads off to the prairie land just before the foothills of the Pyrenees starts. The air quality is impeccable and we are very close to several ski stations. We ski a lot between December and April. The hiking, climbing and cycling are world class in this part of France. The Tour de France has come straight through our village and along our road several times. There are also plentiful lakes and rivers to swim in in the summer. You can cross the mountains into Spain in 35 minutes, we sometimes go in the evening for tapas. Barcelona is only 5 hours drive away and you can reach the Atlantic coast (Biarritz) in just under two hours and the Mediterranean coast in two hours. Toulouse, which is a wonderful vibrant city, is an hour away. Our home is full of books and items we have collected on our travels. We have previously lived in Myanmar and Vanuatu. There is lots of teak furniture from our time in Asia, cosy rugs and paintings. Our home has nice furniture but nothing too precious and hopefully feels very homely. We have a car which could be included too. Our home includes a beautiful, very private 10m x 5m (32' x 16') outdoor swimming pool and large terrace.

Comments: Our home opens on to a quiet Pyrenean village, the boulangerie is opposite our home. We have a lovely big garden with our own meadow, which leads onto the prairie land before the foothills of the Pyrenees begin.
