Comfortable, modest, art-filled home by mile five of scenic Leelanau bicycle trail. Walk or bike one mile south to DeJong Nature Center and explore trails through ancient cedars to the shore of Cedar Lake. Four more miles and you reach downtown Traverse City. From the house heading two miles north on the bicycle trail enjoy innovative farm to table cuisine and relaxing outdoor spaces at The Farm Club. Continue north through stunning landscape of orchards and vineyards ( consider a half mile detour to Shady Lane Vineyard or little further to Black Star Farms ) and continue to the trail end at Suttons Bay where our favorite stop is the outdoor venue at Hop Lot Brewery . We are convenient to the best of everything. Historic Fishtown in Leland. Restaurants, shops, festivals in Traverse City. And, of course, the internationally famous Sleeping Bear Dunes with its dune climb and pristine shoreline beaches ( I may even share some of the local's favorites...). We have high speed internet and dedicated work space with tables so you can work remotely and still have a regenerative getaway. There are literally five art centers within a 45 min radius offering workshops, plein air painting competitions, and exhibit opportunities. If you're a painter it doesn't get any better. If you want to read, write, or journal there are comfortable chairs with reading lamps, and a sun filled deck. And, of course, a large screen tv in the living room, just in case you're in the mood to movie binge. The idea is to get away and rejuvenate, however that looks for you.
