It is completely different to live in Venice for a while, in a quiet area near the center, with a garden.....than to visit as a tourist. In the summer, you can cook at home and eat in the garden; so much nicer than Venice's (over-priced and often mediocre) restaurants. And you can time your day to get up in the morning to shop in the market before the city gets too busy. We live between Paris and Venice. The appartment is furnished with new up-market "design" furniture, and in perfect condition and working order. The appartment has a lot of "atmosphere", like most houses in Venice, but is light and airy. The rooms are all quite large, and there is plenty of storage place. The kitchen is well-equipped. The neighbourhood is extremely quiet, but also convenient. It is about 10 minutes walk to Rialto (with its fish market, and one of the centers of the city), 30 minutes walk to any of the station, Piazza S. Marco, or Arsenale (for the Biennale), and 5 minutes to Fondamente Nove vaporetto stop (for airport, Murano/Burano, Lido, and the direct vaporettos to the station, Giardini, Giudecca, etc. There is no airconditioning for the summer; if you close the wooden shutters at mid-day, it is not too hot...but Venice is hot in the summer and bear this in mind if you need a/c. There are also about 10 steps from the garden up into the house itself. Since the house is in perfect condition, we would like to know as much as possible about yourselves, who you are, what you do, how you live, and in particular what kind of experience you have in living in older houses before we collaborate together. It can a maximum of 4 people, and a family with small children has to pay attention that the children do not slip on the stairs to the garden. We are (just retired). One of us was an antique dealer. The other had a company which sold "designer" furniture. We live in Venice, but, if the house is not occupied, spend a lot of time in Venice. We also travel a lot.....we have been very often to Japan, and recently we have travelled a lot in South America.

Comments: Near the center, very convenient for the vaporetto to airport, Lido and Islands, but extremely quiet "Venetian" area, with few tourists, many small food shops and artisans, and easy walk to the center. For an exchange, we would like New York for 2/3 weeks May/April 2023, and Japan (preferably Kyoto) for 6/8 weeks, anytime.
Comments: We have only indicated 1 double bed. In the office there is a sofa bed which turns into 2 single beds in case you get occasional visitors. One bathroom is "en suite"....if you use the office bedroom, the other bathroom (with shower) is separate
The plants need watering; says once a week in the winter, and practically every day if it is very hot in the summer.
Comments: If there was a delivery, has to be taken....but extremely rare
