GENERAL DESCRIPTION/AREA Enjoy this unique, tranquil, private and cozy single family home in the heart of Kingston, NY. The front of this adorable home faces Kingston, but when inside and in the back you will feel like you're nestled in the woods. Very quiet, comfortable, and fully-equipped for a short or long-term stay, you'll feel like you're away from it all--meanwhile you're in the midst of the bustling and happening town of Kingston, 20 minutes away from Woodstock and Saugerties, as well as all that the Hudson Valley and Catskills have to offer. The house is considered midtown Kingston, about an 8-minute drive to the popular and beautiful stockade district, Rondout shops and marina on the Hudson, with quaint shops, restaurants and cafes. The original capital of New York State, the town boasts a thriving arts scene, bookstores, and Revolution-era architecture. It's also a 20 minute drive from Woodstock and Saugerties, two towns with more restaurants, shops, and antiques. For the nature lovers it is in the heart of the Catskills with something to do in every season--from hiking and nature walks in stunning nature reserves, lakes, rivers, and skiing, and town after town full of charm, great food, and kind, fun people! There are regular buses and trains back and forth to NYC every day and every hour until about 8pm. But once you're in Kingston and at this house, it is recommended that you have a car. Although inexpensive, Ubers and taxis often require a long wait and are not very reliable. Having your own car to get around is highly recommended, especially for food shopping and getting to and from all the sites and places you want to explore. ABOUT THE HOUSE: The house is a cozy, yet very functional and spacious one-bedroom home. The bedroom is very spacious and beautiful! It has a (very) comfortable king-size bed, a sofa (that pulls out into a full-size bed), a coffee table, TV, large chest of drawer, and large closet. The kitchen has a really good electric stove, coffee makers, microwave, tons of cabinet space, pots/pans, and anything else anyone needs to cook or bake anything. There is an adorable full bathroom (with tub/shower/hand shower) and all the linens and amenities one may need. Just off the kitchen, there is a dining table with four chairs in a separate nook between the living room and kitchen. The living room has a comfy 3-person couch and even more comfortable recliner chair. The living room is full of light with windows across the whole back of the house, and a back door to a small deck nestled into the woods in the back of the house. The house is equipped with very good wifi that can accommodate any type of remote work requirements. There is a laser printer and some basic office supplies as well. A washer and dryer are available for guest use in the garage. And, a small compact car will fit in the garage. If not, there is free street parking for two cars right across from the house. It is on a very quiet street, and is very private, although there are (very nice) neighbors close to the right and left of the house. Guests will have the whole house and everything attached to the house to themselves. There is a full set of stairs to the front door of the house, and unfortunately, it is not accessible to wheelchairs and may be difficult for people with mobility challenges.
