I am the founder of Techsoup.org and, more recently, a novelist. My wife is a documentary filmmaker turned painter. We spend half the year here, renting it out in summer and winter. We love this part of Paris and we want to rent to people who will appreciate it; it's definitely not for folks who want to 'see the sights' every day, but for people who want to live in Paris in a 'normal' part of town without many tourists around. I feel like we lucked into this flat--the views are amazing and it is a serene place to spend thoughtful time. And when you want to go out, there is the canal, the park, La Villette and the rest of Paris a healthy walk or bike ride, or a short metro ride away. This is not 'Emily's' Paris, but its ours and perhaps yours. It is a particular pleasant winter abode, high above the city--a comfortable spot to observe and wait out inclement weather.
