It is located within easy walking/cycling/public transport distance to the University of Sydney, the city centre and many other academic and cultural institutions. A classic 'corner store', café, bus stop and laundromat are only 200m away, as are sporting fields, parks and access to the harbour. The house is the perfect urban retreat with its two bedrooms, renovated kitchen and bathrooms, leafy garden patio, delightful upstairs deck with sensational views of Sydney Harbour and its iconic Harbour Bridge. Walk to the heart of Balmain (10 mins) for additional bus routes, cafés, restaurants, art galleries, clothing boutiques and supermarkets. Woolworths is open every day and there is an organic farmers market every Saturday morning at nearby Orange Grove school, and a thriving second-hand market at nearby Rozelle school every Saturday and Sunday. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and its own bathroom and large balcony overlooking the garden and harbour. The second bedroom is close to the main bathroom, with sunken spa bath, has bunk beds and a large amount of clothes storage. The kitchen is contemporary and the living room is easy to relax in. The separate office opens onto the patio garden which overlooks the harbour and has an A3 colour laser scanner/printer and high-speed internet. The patio garden is easy to maintain with frangipanis, fruit trees, gardenias, jasmine and herbs – but does need watering in summer. There are ferry services 7 days/week from 3 nearby wharves providing a practical way to access Circular Quay and the city while getting a unique view of the harbour.
