Comfy guest room in friendly home near N.B. BART

Available August 1, 2024. Well suited to visiting scholars or other visitors who seek a casual and congenial home away from home. Our location is great- very close to BART (our metro) and busses, with shops and restaurants nearby, and walking distance to UCB. Rent of $1400/month for one person includes all utilities, fast internet, household supplies, and professional cleaning. Additional fee of $12/day for a second person. Maximum stay is negotiable. Our sunny guest room is fully furnished with a comfy double bed with quality bedding, work table and chair, dresser, sitting chair, and large closet. Our home is a classic bungalow located 1.5 blocks from the North Berkeley BART station in a quiet neighborhood, 1.5 miles to downtown and the university. In addition to the usual- bathroom, kitchen, dining room, and living room- we have a large and private landscaped garden (smoking allowed in garden). Permanent residents here are myself, a 75 year old woman just retired (from garden design and landscaping); a 38 year old man; and a very sweet tomcat. We humans are friendly, responsible, communicative, interesting, considerate, and independent, and we seek a compatible guest. One thing to note is that we do not flush the toilet every single time just for pee in order to conserve water.
