Us: Hello, thank you for interest ! I am a PhD student in social sciences often away on fieldwork. I have the chance to live in a little gem on the left bank of Paris that I am happy to share with fellow students, academics or world travellers ! The flat: The apartment is located on the top floor of an old Parisian building and therefore is very very quiet. Do not worry about being on the 5th floor because we are lucky to have an elevator in the building. The flat has very high ceilings (4,5 meters) and a long balcony with a table for two with incredible views over Paris (perfect setting for breakfast because the flat is south oriented, an apéro at the sunset, or for an afternoon sun tan with a book from our library). There is a separate fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher, washer and dryer) and a separate bathroom with a bath. The flat is also equipped with a TV (with unlimited access to TV series and movies in all languages and subtitles), a printer and a large screen monitor that you are more than welcome to use. There is great heating system, a big fan and small capacity air conditioner at your disposal for the summer months ;) you can also leave your bike in the hallway of the building if needed. The neighbourhood: We are situated 15 minutes from Sciences Po and 20 minutes from the Sorbonne. You can also access Paris Dauphine easily. Also UNESCO, the EU Institute for Security Studies and the European Space Agency are 2 minutes away. The apartment is located in the middle of Paris main sites (Hotel des Invalides, the Eiffel Tower, the Champ de Mars and Champs Elysées). You are also close to the banks and the most beautiful bridge in Paris: the Pont Alexandre III. 1 minute to the Cambronne station where you can take line 6 and 10, or rent a vélib bicycle, and 5 minutes to la Motte-Picquet-Grenelle where you can take line 8. 30 minutes from Gare du Nord by metro. The closest shopping street is rue du Commerce where shops, typical Parisian restaurants, and cafés abound. On weekends you are next to two open markets within 5 minutes where you can experience of local life in Paris. Rates: Normal rates: minimum 2 weeks 2500 euros/month or 650 euros/week Olympics rates: from July 26 until August 11 2024 the rate is 780 euros/day minimum 5 days. We are at the heart of the Left bank super close to a lot of the event locations, and right by the Champs de Mars where most of the olympic activities will take place. We look forward to hosting you!
