Backyard Cottage in Central Berkeley

We're a family offering a quiet detached backyard cottage in Central Berkeley to visitors. Our standalone 1-bedroom cottage is around 500 square feet. We're near downtown Berkeley. It's off the street, and with no shared walls, it's very quiet. Descriptions of each of the rooms is below: 1 Bedroom: with a queen bed, desk (and monitor), office chair, dresser, and closet 1 Bathroom with tub/shower combo Kitchen: 4 burner stove with oven, fridge, microwave, and the regular kitchen stuff (cookware, utensils, plates, bowls, cups, etc.). Living and Dining Space: couch and a dining area with a table and chairs. Amenities: In-unit washer and dryer; air conditioning; heat; high-speed WiFi; door codes for the gate and front door (no keys needed) Bike parking in the locked shed, behind the locked gate Location. We’re near the intersection of Jefferson and Dwight, in Central Berkeley. The cottage is 10-15 minutes from the University of California, Berkeley campus by bus, and the bus stop is a 2-minute walk away. We’re a 5-minute walk from a coffee shop, corner store, and restaurants. We’re a 10-15 minute walk to Downtown Berkeley (Shattuck Avenue). Street parking is easy and doesn't require a permit. If you prefer to bike instead of drive, we're in the flat part of Berkeley, so walking and biking are easy. We're also one block from Bike Boulevard, which is a network of street optimized for bike traffic. You could also get by without a car or bike. It's a really walkable area. About us -- we're a family of 4 living in Berkeley. This cottage was completed in 2022 and is behind our former home. Even though we outgrew the home, we stayed in the neighborhood. We're 6 blocks away. Now, we rent the house for medium-term stays, which allows us to fit family visits in between renters. Other items to note: The main house has long-term renters. They are a friendly family with a friendly dog.
