The fully equipped kitchen features stainless steel appliances and lots of storage. The bathroom is your own private spa with plush towels.. Designed for anyone with a creative spirit, or guests on sabbatical who crave an oasis from the downtown crowds. The Studio is a perfect balance between the high-energy, culturally rich New York, and a place where you can relax and absorb everything the city has to offer. There is free wifi, heat and air conditioning and access to laundry with washer/dryer. There is Bluetooth hookup for music. and Roku TV. If you wish to work from home there is a mid-century desk and office chair. We are artists who live in the house, so we are around without intruding on your space which is completely private. If we happen to be out, we're within reach by text, cell phone, or email. Inwood is one of the hippest neighborhoods in Manhattan, attracting a diverse NYC population, including artists, musicians, theater performers and young families. Located at the northernmost tip of Manhattan we are surrounded by three parks: historic Inwood Hill Park where the Native Americans sold Manhattan Island is a protected forest with breathtaking views of the Hudson River, Ft. Tryon Park, houses the Cloisters, the medieval branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art with its famous Unicorn Tapestries and an herb garden that overlooks the George Washington Bridge. And, Isham Park which runs through our street. The neighborhood offers a wide choice of cafés and restaurants, all within walking distance, including: the Inwood Farms Café, Unique Fusion Restaurant, Beans & Vines, Bocaditos Bistro, Saggio Italian Restaurant, and many more, including Dominican, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Mexican food. We will provide you with a list of our favorites. On Saturdays, there is a Farmer's Market, literally at the end of our block. You'll find everything else here, including supermarkets, shops, cleaners, spas, hair & nail salons and much more. This is very much a walking neighborhood. You can also rent a bike and explore. Transportation • The A train is a 5 minute walk from our house. It runs express from 125th Street to Columbus Circle. You can be in mid-town in 30 minutes. • The #1 train runs the length of Manhattan on the West Side with local stops along the way, including Lincoln Center, the Broadway Theater District, Chelsea's art galleries, all the way down to South Ferry where you can take a ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. • The BMX1 bus is minutes from our house and it will take you to the East side in 40 minutes. • Metro-North train is a 10 minute walk and takes you to Grand Central Station in 23 minutes.
