Erkner is surrounded by water and is a popular local recreation destination for water sports enthusiasts and hikers, especially in summer. Due to Erkner's proximity to Berlin you get the best of both worlds: While you can enjoy the peace and the tranquillity of the countryside, Berlin's vibrant cultural life is only a 20 minute trainride away. The apartment is an independent unit on the the top floor of an old mansion. It is furnished and fully equipped: In the bedroom (20 sqm) there are a large double bed and a closet, as well as a small workplace (desk and bookshelves). The spacious living room with sofa and dining table has an open fitted kitchen, which is equipped with all appliances and household items for immediate use. A small, restored Art Nouveau fireplace can be fired with wood for cozy evenings. The bathroom has natural stone tiles and a floor-level shower. From the large 20 sqm roof terrace you have a wonderful view of the surrounding countyside and the large private garden that belongs to the house. In the immediate vicinity of the house you will find supermarkets, some restaurants, bakeries, a café, doctors and a shopping center. Various green spaces and parks, two fitness studios, a bookstore and a library are also nearby. There are several bus lines in the immediate vicinity of the house. Erkner train station is less than one mile away and can be easily reached by bus, bike or even on foot. Berlin can be reached quickly by S-Bahn or RE1 (Berlin-Ostkreuz in 15 minutes and Berlin-Friedrichstraße (Humboldt University) in 25 minutes). The monthly rent is “all-inclusive”.
