The Burns House is an international landmark. The Charles Moore Foundation is preserving the house as place for work, study, and creativity, with a special emphasis on Music, Architecture, Writing, and Design. (But all fields are welcome.) The house is in the wonderful Santa Monica Canyon, a little enclave within greater Los Angeles. So it is a place that has all the qualities of a garden neighborhood, but close to the abundant academic, archival, musical, and art offerings of Los Angeles.
