"Le Château": Historic Renaissance-era apartment in the heart of Old Nice

"Le Château" is a one-of-a-kind apartment in the heart of Old Nice. Featuring a restored Renaissance ceiling and exposed stone walls, it will transport you to an earlier era. Located on a pedestrian street in the heart of Old Nice, the apartment is a 2-minute walk from the tramway and parks and a 3-minute walk to the beach. Our street is lined with art galleries, and the historic Palais Lascaris museum is just next door. The apartment was recently gutted to its bare bones and lovingly rebuilt by the owners. You will love the exposed stone walls, restored Renaissance ceiling with hand-painted gold stenciling, exotic hardwood floors, and fully equipped kitchen. The living area on the main level features two daybeds, a large L-shaped couch (with a queen-size bed), and a Steinway grand piano. The step-down kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook and bake. There is also a half-bath. On the mezzanine level is a large bedroom overlooking the living area and a full bathroom (toilet, shower, sink). The bedroom has a Renaissance-era desk and chair--perfect for writers. This apartment has new double-insulated windows and is extremely quiet. The windows all open into an interior open-air staircase. This means that there is no street noise at all (but also less light than an apartment that faces directly onto a street). The apartment building houses just 4 families, plus an art gallery on the main floor. We all know each other well, so your neighbors will likely say hello and stop by for a chat (en français, bien sûr!). The apartment can sleep up to 6 people (1 king-size bed in the mezzanine bedroom, 2 daybeds, and 1 queen-size sofa bed). Linens and basic cleaning supplies are included. The apartment has fiberoptic wifi. All utilities included (electricity, water, internet).
