I am a somatic movement educator/ trauma therapist and my wife is a retired non-profit executive: we bought 7107 for eventual downsizing, so that we don’t have to leave the neighborhood The simply furnished side-by-side duplex is a few steps from a large park, has easy access to transportation, and is within walking and biking distance to shops, restaurants, and major retailers. The main floor offers a living room with gas fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen with ample storage, and a powder room. A deck attached to the dining area overlooks Westinghouse Park and is a perfect place for morning coffee or relaxing in the evening. On the second floor you will find two bedrooms, each having a queen bed with a luxury mattress. One bedroom has direct access to the shared bath and the other has ample room for a desk and bookshelves. You might feel drawn to the third-floor loft space, with its full bathroom and huge walk-in closet, and which can be used as an office or as a third bedroom, or both. The lower level has a laundry with new appliances, a storage room, and a one-car garage. The tidy, comfortable house is on one of Pittsburgh major bike routes and is an easy ride to the Oakland universities and Chatham University. The house has excellent internet service but currently does not have cable; we’re happy to negotiate that and other amenities as needed for longer stays.
