Beautiful semi-rural sabbatical retreat in southern Vermont

Beautiful, semi-rural house on the border of Vermont and Massachusetts, perfect for a writing or research getaway during your sabbatical. Surrounded by nature, close to hiking/swimming/kayaking. The town of Brattleboro, 15 minutes away, is extremely charming. You'll need a car, but for guests or getting out of town, catch the Amtrak to NYC or Philly from Brattleboro, or the train to various parts of Massachusetts from Greenfield, 25 minutes away. The house is fully furnished and stocked with everything you need to get started. It has 2 bedrooms, with optional extra sleeping space for two people in the loft/office. Outdoor space is ample, with a large front porch and huge front/side yards. The setting is private - there are neighbors on either side, but beyond that, the area is sparsely populated. If you're looking for a taste of the country while away from a city or college town for a bit, this is it. You'll be in rural Vermont/Massachusetts, which means cold weather during the winter, but the house is well heated and extremely cozy. There's excellent wildlife, especially birds, and gorgeous views all over the place. If you have questions about the area or the house itself, let me know.
