Comfortable, historic, refurbished home with lots of room right off campus

The "Irish Rover" was our own home for undergraduate years and we loved it so much that we bought it years later. The home is an historic one with an interesting backstory that we've filled with more history from the local universities, town, region, and our own experiences living abroad with the foreign service. We've renovated and refurbished much of the house, but expect that there are still some old house "charms." But it is comfortable and well-kept, and we're certain you'd be just as happy there as we have. The Harter Heights neighborhood is one of the most beautiful and well-regarded in South Bend and is near everything. The house is walking distance to the Eddy Street Commons (Starbucks, Trader Joe's, Chipotle, Irish pubs, ice cream parlor, etc.) and is immediately in front of the 7th hole green/8th hole tee box of the Notre Dame Burke Golf Course (mentioned in case you like watching golf, not because it presents a privacy/noise issue). The 4-bedroom home is filled with enough beds for 10 people, but we'd be happy to convert one of the rooms back to an office. The downstairs bathroom was just remodeled and the kitchen appliances are brand new. Lots of yard space for play or hang out, and there's also garage and basement space for out-of-the-way storage.
