Our family will be away on sabbatical from September 29, 2026 through May 15, 2027, and we are looking for a responsible tenant to enjoy and care for our home during that time. Located on a quiet street in Guilford, Connecticut, this fully furnished post-and-beam home sits on 1.87 private, fenced acres just minutes from the historic Guilford Green, Yale University, and the shoreline. The heart of the home is a dramatic timber-framed great room with soaring ceilings, skylights, exposed beams, and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace. Adjacent living, dining, and sunroom spaces provide comfortable places to read, work, gather with family, or enjoy the changing seasons. The main level includes a spacious primary suite with a recently renovated en-suite bath featuring a jetted tub and oversized rain shower. The updated kitchen includes a farmhouse sink, induction cooktop, and double steam oven combination. Upstairs are two additional bedrooms, a full bath, a dedicated office, and a loft space. The current bedroom configuration includes a guest room and children's room, though we can provide an additional twin bed or crib if needed for a family. The home is fully furnished and move-in ready, with central air conditioning, washer and dryer, a finished basement area with Peloton, outdoor parking, and a fenced yard. We have loved raising our family here and hope to find someone who will appreciate the home's warmth, privacy, and character while we are away.

One friendly senior indoor cat. Caring for him is optional. If a tenant prefers not to, we will arrange alternate care while we are away.
