I am a professor at the American University of Paris. I will sublet my (beloved) "T3" apartment (2 bedroom) in Paris while I am away for a project this summer. It is a classic Hausmannian building (big windows, fireplaces, old wooden floors, original molding). The neighborhood is wonderful: the apartment has a metro at one end of the block and the canal at the other end, parks Buttes Chaumont and La Villette within walking distance, lots of nice bars, restos, cafes, concert venues, etc. Groceries, pharmacy, bakery, bi-weekly farmers market all within a block. The apartment is on the 4th floor (with elevator). Living/dining room, small but fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, storage in the back for bikes etc. It's set up with one adult bedroom and one kid's bedroom, but other configurations are possible. (There is a comfortable sleeper sofa in the living room and a nice air mattress.) Happy to host families (or not;) No smoking of anything as I'm allergic.

Sorbonne University, Clignancourt Campus
19e arrondissement
Paris
Comments: This is a "real" Parisian neighborhood where many academics, artists, musicians, and young families live. It's well conntected (metro on the block) but not touristy. Close to the canal, big parks, many cultural venues, cafes, bars, shops, etc.
Comments: It set up with one adult bedroom (full bed) and one kid bedroom (currently with a toddler bed). I still have a crib and a bassinet if needed. The couch in the living room folds into a comfortable bed, and I also have a nice air matress.
Please water the indoor plants and window boxes! It takes about 5 minutes :)

Comments: I will be away for July & August and am looking for a subletter for these months. There is some flexilibity about start and end date. It could be split across two subletters.
