We would like a family to look after our cosy home while we take an extended holiday in 2027. Our home is a 30-minutes walk to the CBD (including Victoria’s Pipitea campus and NZ Parliament) and a 10-minute drive to the university’s Kelburn campus. It is close to the bird sanctuary Zealandia, from where the native birdlife overflows to our suburb. We are zoned for excellent public schools (Wadestown School, Wellington High, Onslow College, Wellington Girls' College, and Wellington College). Our home has a lovely garden, beautiful sun, outdoor decks and patios, a back lawn, sheltered clothesline, and a glasshouse. It has a lovely view facing west. It is not suitable for people with impaired mobility, as it's down 20 steps. We have a car-pad (and car), and bike-shed. Entering the front door takes you to the kitchen, dining area, lounge room, Bedroom 1 (queen bed), and Bathroom 1 (with washing machine). Downstairs are Bedroom 2 (double bed) and Bedroom 3 (two single beds or bunks), and Bathroom 2 (with dryer). All bedrooms are large. There is also a small fourth bedroom that we expect to be storing our things in. However, if you need an extra room, that is negotiable. The downstairs hall is wide and furnished with a large sit/stand desk and two computer screens. It can be used as an office or a play area. The flooring upstairs is the original matai floorboards. Downstairs is carpet. There are heatpumps upstairs and downstairs, plus oil heaters in each bedroom. Most windows are double-glazed. The dryer is new, an LG heat-pump dryer with internal plumbing. The front-loading washing machine and dishwasher are Bosch. Also provided are fridge-freezer, chest freezer, various kitchen appliances, router, modem etc and wireless extenders, HP printer, Panasonic TV, and Denon stereo. Most plants in the garden are native to New Zealand. There are also vegetable gardens and lemon and apple trees.
