Description

We are Rose/Ben - two medical doctors - with Louis (2 year-old) and a second child arriving in the first week of August. For Ben's PhD/DPhil we are relocating to Malawi for 18 months from October 2026. We are looking for tenants to take care of our home while we are overseas with a longer let of - ideally - 12 months though we are potentially open to those >6 months. Our home would be well suited to a couple or family and we have all of the items required for young children (cot, high chair, pram, changing station, toys etc). New Hinksey is very centrally located within a short bike ride to Oxford high street and the University. It is a 15-20 minute cycle from Oxford Brookes and the hospitals in Headington. We love this Oxford location - its very central but you can reach nature very easily with the river path (5 minutes) and Boar's Hill (30 mins) closeby. The house is located in a side street that is very quiet because there is no through traffic. We have a wonderful community and neighbours around us. The house is end of terrace and has side access for bike storage and access into the garden. We have an open plan downstairs living and dining room, two good sized double bedrooms and a third single bedroom. The single room currently has a cot and a single bed but we could dismantle and store the cot if preferable. Family bathroom on the first floor and toilet with sink in the wash room on the ground floor. We will leave all of our furnishings (except for a few rugs and the piano keyboard that we are taking with us). We have two bikes with child seats that you would be welcome to use. We have a 2019 VW estate petrol car that we would be open to tenants using after discussing separately. There is on street parking (the garage to the left of the house in the photos is not ours). We have a beautiful garden and would be keen to have tenants who would enjoy and be willing to maintain it. The rate includes council tax but not utilities/cleaning or other bills. We have a wonderful cleaner that we can connect you with to make your own arrangements if you wish.
