I’m an artist and filmmaker looking to sublet my fully furnished duplex apartment in Tokyo. It is a peaceful, thoughtfully arranged home designed for both creative work and relaxation. Upstairs is a traditional Japanese-style tatami bedroom with a comfortable futon mattress. The futon can be stored in the closet, allowing the room to be used as a reading space, meditation room, or yoga area. The bedroom opens onto a large private balcony, perfect for breakfast, coffee, tea, or relaxing outdoors. There is also a washing machine and 2nd bathroom on this floor. Downstairs includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, separate toilet, and a Japanese-style bathing area with a seated shower. The office/studio area has a height-adjustable desk, speakers, and high-speed Wi-Fi, making the apartment ideal for remote work or creative projects. A very comfortable sofa converts into an additional bed, and a curtain can close off the area for privacy, allowing it to function as a second bedroom if needed. The apartment has three air-conditioning units: one in the upstairs bedroom, one in the dining area, and one in the office. The apartment is located in a quiet and charming neighborhood directly across from Nezu Shrine. There are many cafés, restaurants, shops, and local attractions within walking distance. Two subway lines are less than a 10-minute walk away, with Shibuya and Shinjuku reachable in approximately 30 minutes. Ueno and Yanaka are about 10 minutes away by bicycle. The University of Tokyo is approximately a 15-minute walk, making this an especially convenient location for students, visiting researchers, faculty, or university staff. The apartment can accommodate two to three people or a small family, but it is best suited for a single person or couple. It is an ideal home for someone who works remotely and wants a calm, comfortable base from which to explore Tokyo. I’m looking for a respectful, clean, and considerate tenant who will take good care of the space. No smoking or pets. As this is a quiet residential neighborhood, parties, loud noise, and frequent guests are not permitted. $500 deposit will be required to cover any incidentals and will be refunded at the end of stay.
