We're looking for someone to rent our Ascot Vale townhouse for the first half of 2027. The townhouse is well located for people working or studying in Melbourne, particularly at the universities or nearby hospitals. It's under a 15-minute drive to the University of Melbourne, RMIT University, and Victoria University, and is convenient for placements or work at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Royal Women's Hospital, Royal Children's Hospital, Footscray Hospital, and surrounding medical clinics. It's also within walking distance of the Maribyrnong River, with running and cycling paths, sports grounds, playgrounds, and canoeing. Union Road shops, the Ascot Vale Leisure Centre, Melbourne Showgrounds, and Flemington Racecourse are all nearby. Public transport is easy, with the bus about 2 minutes' walk away, the tram around 7 minutes, and Ascot Vale Station about 18 minutes on foot. The property is a fully furnished two-storey, two-bedroom townhouse, although it will be rented as a one-bedroom. We'll be storing some of our belongings in the second bedroom while we're away, so the rest of the house will be available for your use. Upstairs has the kitchen, living area, toilet, and a small balcony. Downstairs has the bedroom, a bathroom, and the laundry. There is also a secure off-street car space behind a garage door and a small garden. The rent is set below the usual rate for the area because we're looking for someone who can also look after our cat, Magic, while we're away. Because of that, we're hoping to find someone whose dates line up reasonably well with ours, so shorter stays probably won't be suitable. We also have good neighbours who know we'll be away and are happy to help if any issues come up with the property.
