I am a local biotech executive, and looking for someone respectful and adventurous to rent our houseboat for 6-12 months. Seaweed is a 1 Bed 1 Bath houseboat moored in a rare outside slip on Lake Union in the Westlake neighborhood, with incredible unobstructed views of the lake and Gas Works Park. Seaweed lives a lot bigger than her footprint, with ample storage space, a dining nook, a full sized kitchen (propane gas range / stove, full size refrigerator, large kitchen island for prep, microwave oven, etc), a jacuzzi bath tub with skylight, and a full separate cabin with space for a queen bed. There is also a washer-dryer on board to make your life easy :) Step out of the bedroom and on to the top deck for incredible views of Gasworks park, and spac for hosting a barbeque with a few friends. The action on the lake is fun to be around, including duck doge on Tuesday nights, Queen Anne's revenge on the daily, and lots of other friendly neighborhood passersby. Seaweed is docked at Rainier marina, which offers other amenities including laundry, facilities, bike storage, and on-site (off-street) free parking. The marina is accessed via a security gate with gate code from Westlake Ave (just before the Fremont bridge). Prime location for walking into Fremont! Seaweed is moored in at a private dock shared with one other houseboat. Monthly Rent: $4,500 (Utilities & Moorage Included up to $500/mo cap). Refundable Security Deposit: $4,500 Pets are allowed with additional security deposit ($1125) Move-in Total: $13,500 (1st Month's Rent + Security Deposit + Last Month's rent). Rent includes moorage fees, water, weekly septic pump-out, electricity, and high-speed internet up to $500/month total utility usage. Tenant will be billed for any utility overage exceeding $500 in a given billing cycle. Tenant is responsible for purchasing propane refills for cooking and hot water (typically every 2-3 mo, depending on usage). Minimum gross household income equal to 3x monthly rent ($13,500/month or $162,000/year). Minimum credit score of 720 required. Lease is for 6-12mo.
