The main floor has an open living and dining area under a tall window and exposed wood beams, a kitchen with granite counters and stainless appliances, a full bathroom, and a bedroom with a Murphy bed that works as a quiet home office by day. A mezzanine loft upstairs holds the primary bedroom with its own ensuite bath, good separation if you're bringing a partner or just want a real line between sleeping and working. In-unit washer/dryer, fast Wi-Fi, and one assigned garage parking space are included, along with linens, kitchenware, and everything else you'd need to move in and start working. The building has a landscaped central courtyard, and controlled access. Location: UCSF's Mission Bay campus and medical center, including Benioff Children's Hospital, is about a twenty-minute walk, with UCSF's inter-campus shuttle connecting on to Parnassus. You're also a five-minute walk to the Caltrain station at 4th & King, and Caltrain has Wi-Fi on board now, so Stanford and Palo Alto are an easy, productive commute if your work takes you down the Peninsula too. Chase Center is a few blocks away, and Mission Bay is a thriving neighborhood with fantastic coffee, restaurants, and groceries within easy walking distance. We live here and will be away for the full term, looking for someone to take the whole stay (or as much of it as possible). I work at Stanford myself, so I understand what a visiting term away from home needs: a real desk, dependable internet, a comfortable place to land, and someone easy to reach if a question comes up.
