Description

Monthly Rent=4000.00 includes all utilities, high speed internet, access to amazon, hbo, hulu and several other platforms, in-house washer and dryer and much more. Read on. The apt is on the 4th of a 7 floor historic landmark building--Monterey (1890). The building has a new elevator and the super lives in the bldg. My unit has 11 large windows (sunny); 2 huge bedrooms; a separate study; 1 1/2 over-sized bathrooms (one with a shower, the other with a toilette, wash basin and washer-dryer); spacious kitchen; and a living-dining room. In addition, the apt. has 3 large closets, high ceilings (10.5 ft), recessed lighting and red oak floors throughout. The unit can easily accommodate 4 persons (2 adults and 2 children or 4 adults). Number of beds: 1 queen, 1 full and 1 twin. High-speed internet, Wi-Fi and access to Hulu, HBO, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. The apt. is fully furnished with Persian rugs, teak dining room set, stylish sofa, antique night stands, chest of drawers, lamps, etc. The master bedroom has a large LED Screen. The kitchen includes a convection oven, air-fryer and a steel-paneled refrigerator. The kitchen is stocked with calphalon pots, plates, silverware, wine, beer and juice glasses and more. The unit comes with towels and linen. The Monterey is located directly across Morningside Park (great place to unwind in the evening or let the children run around during the day) and in front of the famous Lafayette Statue. The Monterey is 4 blocks from Columbia University, St Luke's Hospital, and St John the Divine Cathedral, largest gothic structure in North America; 4 blocks from Central Park North; and 6 blocks from the overpriced and always tempting shops and restaurants along Broadway Avenue. To get a sense of the neighborhood go to Google-Map; enter the following address: 351 West 114 street. The Monterey building is the low-rise, massive, red-brown stone structure that appears behind the Lafayette Statue. Subletters unfamiliar with Manhattan often ask me the same question: is the neighborhood is safe? I have 2 teenage daughters who come and go as they please. The area is filled with countless restaurants (African, Thai, Indian, Japanese, Ethiopian, Creole, French, etc), gyms, cafes, bookstores, bakeries, bars, supermarkets (Lincoln, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods), pharmacies, bodegas, wine shops, hardware stores and banks. The area is home to Harlem's Apollo Theatre, Studio Museum, Shrine Dance Club, Sylvia's Restaurants, Red Rooster, Smoke Jazz Club, Abyssynian Tabernacle Church etc. The apt. is serviced by 7 subway lines--a, d, 2, 3 (express) and 1, b, c (local). Travel time to: a) Time Sq.: 15 minutes; Union Sq: 25 minutes. Several bus lines also service the area; some of them will take you from the west to the east side (upper and lower) along Museum Mile (15 minutes) to CUNY-Graduate Faculty (25 minutes) etc., and beyond to Queens and Brooklyn. This is a family home, not just a rental unit; I expect you to care for my apt. the same way you would care for your own home. A 1000 deposit is required (and will be returned two weeks after you vacate my unit). I have uploaded 10 photos of the apt in the following order: Living Room and Dining Room: photos 1,2,3; Hallway connecting the Living Room to Bedrooms: photo 4; Master Bedroom: photo 5; Second Bedroom: photo 6; Office: photo 7; Shower Room: photo 8; Toilette: photo 9; and Kitchen: photo 10. NOTE: As with all NYC coops, the Coop Board has to approve your stay if it is longer than 3 1/2 months. The tenants I propose have never been rejected. If you support Trump (including Bravo, an ex-member of the US Special Forces in Afghanistan whose review appears on my page though he never rented my apt) do not bother to apply!!!
