Charming Two Bedroom Condo in Heritage Building

I stayed in Diana's house for 3.5 months in 2018 while completing my PhD, and had a fantastic time. Diana is an incredibly generous host and was very kind in helping me get set up for my time in Toronto. The apartment is well furnished and the building is very warm in winter (something I particularly valued as an Australian(!)) The location is also first-rate. It is 5 minutes from St Clair W subway station, which provides each access into the city, or north up to York University. For those working or studying at UofT, it is only a couple of stops on the subway or an easy 30min walk. It is located 5 minutes from a large supermarket. I highly recommend this listing.

An absolutely fantastic place and host! Diana is the loveliest person I met in Toronto (and actually my first contact before I even moved there). I ended up not living at her place during my first stay in Toronto in the fall 2013 because I did not know from the posting that I would be sharing the place with her and I wanted a place for myself, while she wanted someone who would not work from home (sometimes she sublets her entire apartment, sometimes the guest room). She helped me find a place to stay with a friend, though, which was the most amazing thing to do for a person I had only emailed with. We also met in person because we had hit it off and a year later, in winter 2014, I rented her place, which is nothing short of fantastic! With only a short walk to St. Clair W station, the location is fabulous (there is also a great supermarket at the station, which is indispensable if you don't have a car). The place itself is just beautiful. I had actually noticed the building from the outside before I went to live there because it is noticably the most stunning building in the neighbourhood. On the inside Diana's apartment is just as beautiful. It has spectacular old windows overlooking a park and old hardwood floors. Plus, it has been furnished with all the style and love Diana has to give (which is a lot, trust me!). From a more practical viewpoint, it has everything you need, from a perfectly stocked kitchen to a washer/dryer in the basement. I don't live in Toronto anymore but sometimes I still miss living at Diana's place. If you get the chance to stay at this place, don't miss out on it! I recommend it 100%!

I spent one year as fellow at Sickkids in Toronto. I spent the entire year in this condo. It was a great experience. The condo is vintage style and different from most places in Toronto. The location is excellent, close to the subway. A short ride takes you downtown. There are great opportunities for running and biking just outside the house. The landlady is lovely most friendly. Highly recommended.
