Notting Hill Garden Flat- Characterful with Antiques, Books & Textiles.

Anna was a wonderful host who went out of her way to help us find our way into the flat and make our stay comfortable. Throughout the process, communication was clear and agreeable. Anna was very kind and reasonable. The flat itself is beautifully appointed and comfortable. We stayed for nearly a month, and never lacked for anything. The garden in front and back are kept in award-winning condition, which made it feel like a pleasant, quiet home in the city. The neighborhood is also pretty peaceful, with good shops, pubs, cafes, and restaurants nearby. It was a great base for us as we commuted to King's Cross, explored the city, and worked remotely, with tube and bus connections nearby. I would recommend Anna's flat to anyone.

If you're reading this, you may be considering a stay, so here are a few thoughts.
HOST. Your potential host is experienced, engaged and thoughtful--a host who makes you feel welcome and responds promptly. HOME. Her art filled home feels very much the place of a cultured individual. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds comfortable, the place clean. Ensuites for each bathroom are a plus. The garden areas are a treat. LOCATION. Excellent. Multiple bus routes are 5 minutes away. The rounderground is 10 minutes, runs frequently and has good connections. The area is quiet, great for walking with good coffee shops and restaurants close by. A supermarket is an easy walk. We highly recommend this lovely place and hope to visit again.

Anna's flat is simply beautiful: two large double bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms; a fully equiped kitchen; and a gorgeous living room decorated with paintings and textiles that reveal a lifetime of collectiong. The two large windows let in a lot of light, despite it being a garden flat; and there's a view of the sky and St. Stephen's church across the street. Two courtyards, one in the fornt and one in the back, are great places for a glass of wine at the end of a busy day, and are full of flowering well-loved plants.

Anna is a great host, quick to answer any questions, and sincere in her wish that anyone staying in her flat has the best possible experience. A five-star flat. Plus, it's in a quiet bit of Notting Hill.

Of the four flats my family and I have traveled to London for extended stays while I direct and teach in my university's Summer study abroad program, Anna's is by far our favorite. Anna herself is welcoming, responsive, a pleasure to work with. The flat is spacious, graced with lovely gardens front and back, a kitchen you will WANT to cook in, filled with books you will want to read, and homey touches, comfortable chairs, well-functioning showers, excellent wifi. It stayed cool even during a historic heatwave. Notting Hill probably needs no introduction, but it is bursting with great places to eat (try Haminado's!), the Market, etc. and the flat is close to transport links. We'd love to stay there again!

My family of four spent ten nights at Anna's garden flat in June, 2022. This was an ideal apartment for our visit. It is in a quiet, pretty neighborhood, with all necessities, such as groceries and restaurants, very nearby, and easy access to the tube for travel to other parts of the city. The Royal Oak tube stop is only about a 7-minute walk away, and there is a bus stop even closer. The apartment itself is very comfortable and well-appointed. We used the kitchen to prepare breakfast each day and some other meals. We also used the washing machine a couple of times and dried our clothes on the drying racks. Perhaps the most positive aspect of the experience was the very helpful and detailed communcation with Anna.

We had a great stay here. The flat is spacious, comfortable and very well-equipped. The beds were a delight, and the water pressure was terrific. And the location can't be beat. We stayed over Christmas, 2021, when Omicron made traveling by public transport in London dicey. So being able to walk to Portobello Market (10 mins), Kensington Park (15-20 mins), and the museum district around the V&A (25 mins) was wonderful. The neighbourhood is full of delightful ethnic restaurants, as well as a Waitrose and numerous pharmacies, and the joy of posh Kensington retail (for window shopping in our case). Our hostess provided maps to all important locations and services, and a tasty welcome bottle of wine. We recommend this home without hesitation!

Anna's is such a lovely flat, in such a beautiful, elegant street... London at its best. I spent there two months and it was comfortable, cosy, with everything you need to really live there and -something very important for me- a great place to work, with very good wifi and even a printer which was really useful. My daughter spent some days with me, and was delighted at the little garden, so cute and nice. Also, she had her own room and own bathroom: the fact that each bedroom has its own is a real plus. The flat is near the underground and many buses, perfectly communicated, it has supermarkets and services very close to it, plus many interesting things within walking distance: the quaint Portobello Market, posh Westbourne Grove, with its many restaurants and shops; Kensington Palace and Gardens are barely a 20 minute walk. Anna was always reachable and eager to help and advice.

We spent a week in London this past summer and had a wonderful time in Anna's flat! It has two full bedrooms, two baths, a perfectly outfitted kitchen (with everything we could have wanted or needed), and lots of books and artwork, which made us feel right at home! The flat is a 10-15-minute walk from the Notting Hill tube station or a five-minute walk from Royal Oak; a ten-minute walk to Portobello Road. Perfect location for all our outings. Anna also left descriptions of nearby restaurants, grocery stores and other amenities. She, herself, was also lovely to work with - everything went really smoothly. We highly recommend her home!

We stayed in Annas flat for four nights and had a great time. The flat is wonderful; her antiques, the flowers in the backyard, the flowers in the front yard made us just want to stay on for longer. Not only is this flat located in the most attractive area in London, but it is just a lovely home with lots of charm. After days in one of the most interesting cities in the world, it is amazing to be able to return to the homely warmth of this flat. While London is vibrant with energies and can at times feel draining, Annas flat is the perfect stay to put up your feet and relax. In addition, the flat is equipped in such a practical manner that nothing is missed while there. The location could not be better with access to everything from buses to underground stations, and any shops you might need. Everything is in walking distance and it's a lovely area for a walk. A nice bonus is how wonderful it is to communicate with the host, Anna. She did absolutely everything she could to make us to feel at home. We can honestly say we have never had a better time in London thanks to Anna and her home, and we cannot wait to return. We would give the full stay not only excellent, but an excellent A plus and plus. Simply a gem!

Anna is a wonderful host with a stunning home from home. We felt so comfortable during our recent stay we didn't want to leave. The flat was spacious for us as a family of four and well equipped including lots of fascinating antiques that give the place a real charm. We were lucky enough to stay in the summer and enjoyed relaxing in the pretty garden with the flowers all in bloom. The flat is ideally located to tour around Notting Hill and transport to other areas is really easy on the tube/and or buses which are 2 minutes walk away and come very frequently. The flat is within a stones throw of some excellent eateries; we loved going to The Durbar for a true English curry, The Prince Bonnapart for drinks and the wonderful cafe Hernandez for croissants in the mornings. There's a great selection of shops nearby; Portobello Road on a Saturday morning was a real experience and the smart shops on Ledbury Road are great for a leisurely browse. We'll definitely be back to stay in the future. There's so much more we want to see and do in London. Thank you Anna for a wonderful stay.

We have just spent one week in August with our two kids and we would like to thank Anna so much for everything. We have felt as if being at home. We have had everything we have needed up to the last detail. We wish we had had more time to read the excellent books she has. We had great expectations after meeting her and seeing the house for the first time but the experience has been way over them for the whole family. Even at Notting Hill Carnival time we have been able to both relax and chill out at the house and also enjoy the sounds, the colours and the atmosphere. We would love to come back to her cosy and charming house.

Stayed for 3 weeks in Anna's 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Notting Hill garden flat recently Aug/Sept 2017. The flat is well equipped, comfortable and in a great neighbourhood and location, close to restaurants, Deli, laundrette, supermarkets, several tube stations and bus stops. Anna was very welcoming and had left a great deal of helpful information to ensure our stay was pleasant. I would have no hesitation in recommending Anna's flat for your next stay in London. What a wonderful flat! My husband and I were overjoyed to have found this well-appointed treasure; fabulously located, spacious, spotless, and utterly charming. For the two weeks we were there, we felt as if we were in our own home since Anna's flat is filled with her personal collections of beautiful textiles, paintings, vases, plates, etc. We were in heaven. Plus to have such a lovely quiet garden spot in the centre of London is a dream, not to mention the super kitchen and 2 bathrooms. We have nothing but praise for this Notting Hill dream apt.

We stayed three weeks in Anna's apartment in May/June 17....i felt like I had come home. The flat is filled with books and art and textiles and antiques and it was a relief and a joy to come home each night after exploring all the museums and galleries of London. Anna had left instructions and recommendations about everything....the French restaurant Cote became one of our favourites, also the little breakfast place around the corner. But many meals were at home....Waitrose and Marks and Spencer to the rescue! we enjoyed the lovely gardens....the only one of its kind in that part of London that we found!...and just sitting and reading books to regenerate. The flat is so well located...to Portobello Market of course, but also by bus to everything downtown...and we, who have not taken a bus in years, became quite addicted to seeing the sights from the top of a bus...our Oyster Card got quite a workout! Thank you Anna....we would love to come back one day.

We stayed two weeks in Anna's lovely flat in August/September. When I arrived, I looked around and exclaimed, "I want to stay here forever!." Two weeks just reinforced that feeling. The flat was calm, comfortable, convenient, and had everything we could possibly want or need. The bedrooms were well-laid out, with comfy beds, nice linens, reading lights, and each with an ensuite bath or shower room. London was warm through most of our stay, but the flat stayed cool and quiet, even during the boisterous Carnival. It is filled with antiques, art and interesting books; and there are two lovely small gardens where you could sit and read, or eat, or simply pass the time. It is convenient to tube and busses, and the numerous eateries in, and enroute, Westbourne Grove. Portobello Road was only a short walk to the west, and we did our other shopping at Waitrose,which is less than a ten-minute walk away. The neighbours were quiet, but friendly, and we enjoyed walking in the neighbourhood. Anna was a joy with whom to work, and she left lots of information about London, the local area, and the flat. She also had basic breakfast supplies on hand in the excellently stocked kitchen for our arrival, which was a godsend. The sitting room is filled with antiques, and comfortable chairs and sofa, and numerous lamps. There is a table where i could work, next to a window providing natural light. In addition, there is a dining room just off the kitchen, where we could sit and discuss the day's wanderings. I would most highly recommend this flat to my family and friends, and would love to stay here again. Or forever...
