Furnished garden flat on quiet Georgian square in Central London

A well-appointed and comfortable home-from-home perfect for London universities. The flat is large with ample storage and contains lots of thoughtful touches (office supplies, shoe polishes, Tupperware, and more). For guests, there are two fold-out sofas and a hide-a-bed. Plenty of linens, pillows, and kitchen supplies. We've lived in several London neighbourhoods, and this is by far the most quiet and convenient, with 5 different Tube stations in easy walking distance. The square is a minute's walk from Exmouth Market, with lots of restaurants and shops. The flat features a private garden, which is a rare luxury in Zone 1. The landlord and his family are helpful and kind, and have wonderful taste in books! Highly recommended.

The neighborhood is fantastic: one block away are restaurants, a market, a grocery store, post office, multiple bus lines. Nearby are tube stations, large shopping districts, a theatre. The well-appointed home is on a quiet, pretty square. The decent sized kitchen has no dishwasher. There is not a separate dining room, but the first floor reception has a table seating four. The furniture (some antique), furnishings (dishes), and electronics (flat screen TV, washer/dryer combo, 5G internet) are all good quality. Plenty of storage space is available for tenant belongings. The bathroom is big, with a roomy tub. The second floor bedroom overlooks a pleasant garden. The street view room has a comfy twin bed, sleeper sofa, and a rollaway bed.

We (a couple from Switzerland, in our early 30s, studying in London for a year) can wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful flat in the heart of London. Even a few months after leaving London, we still think of our home for 10 months with joy and nostalgia. These are some of the reasons: - The location is unsurpassable: within walking distance not only to most of London's major universities, but also to main sights such as St. Paul's Cathedral, Covent Garden and various train stations, notably Kings Cross. - The neighbourhood could not be lovelier: The wonderful house is located in a beautiful, green square. It is surprisingly quiet in this part of town. - The nearby Exmouth Market offers everything your culinary heart desires as well as some very nice and useful shops (gifts, flowers, home and hardwares, groceries, etc.). One of the prettiest streets in London. - The young, hip Angel district with its pubs, cafes, restaurants and cinemas is also very close. - The flat is exceptionally cosy and spacious. It has its own small garden, which is beautiful. In the middle of the city you are surrounded by trees and birdsong. The library downstairs is also magnificent. - The landlord couple is simply wonderful. They take loving care of their tenants and are always available for questions and information. We have had only the best experience with them. From our point of view there are no negative points to mention, it was a wonderful stay. We hope to return again sometime.

My wife and I have absolutely loved living in this lovely, quiet flat in the heart of London. It's hard to imagine a better location, on a quiet, beautiful Georgian square in an excellent neighborhood away from the tourists yet within easy walking distance of the best libraries, museums, theatres, and sights of central London. The flat itself is actually much nicer even than the photographs had suggested to us, spacious, full of light (especially in the upstairs bedroom and sitting room where we ended up spending much of our time), well-equipped, and with a private garden where we often sat on warm afternoons or enjoyed a quiet dinner. The landlords are a wonderfully kind academic couple who have been unfailingly helpful (and we've also benefitted from their well-chosen collection of books!). We have happened to live here during a year when the house next door was being renovated, and so the noise from building works was bothersome during the days when we worked at home, yet we would still have unhesitatingly chosen to live here for all the other virtues of the flat (and the building works are finishing now and so won't be an issue for future tenants). Evenings and nights were quiet. Though we nearly always walked anywhere in central London, there are excellent public transport links, and I have found it easy to commute to Cambridge from Kings Cross two or three days a week. The local neighborhood has marvelous restaurants, some pedestrianized streets, convenient shopping, and quiet parks to while away a warm afternoon. We could go on, but suffice to say it was very difficult to leave at the end of our ten-month tenancy!
