Located in the stunning hillside village of La Roque Alric, this 300 year old maison du village is comfortable, quiet, spacious, rustic, tastefully restored. Vine covered terrace off the main kitchen overlooks a garden, usable most of the year. In the lower garden is shaded vine leaves, great for relaxed reading. In the main living room and upstairs, wood-burning fireplace and two wood stoves keep it cozy in winter. Electric heat panels as well. Surrounded by mountains and vineyards, many great walks. Swimming at Lac du Paty, a 15 minute drive away and at a large public pool in Beaumes de Venise, 11 minute drive. Main floor is air conditioned. The village has a lovely terrace restaurant, the Acacia offering excellent cuisine, close to our house. Shopping is 10 minutes away by car. Parking on site. An inspiring getaway, ideal for repose or work. Reviews from guests have been excellent, generating second and third visits.
