Welcoming Amsterdam apartment with a garden house study.

My husband and I rented this apartment for four weeks in December and January. The owners were responsive and flexible throughout the rental experience, and the apartment itself was adorable! Just the right size for two people who planned a mix of work and vacation for a month - especially because of the garden house with wi-fi in the back yard, so we could work in two separate spaces. The neighborhood is served by several trams, making it easy to get to central Amsterdam, Sloterdijk station, and other locations. And it also has plenty of amenities, including 4 grocery stores within about a 10 minute walk. I would definitely rent this apartment again if I were returning to Amsterdam.

I spent the month of May in Katherine & Peter's home in Amsterdam. The home itself had everything I could possibly want, from the fully equipped kitchen to the comfortable bed to the relaxing living room, I felt very much at home and especially enjoyed starting each day with my cup of tea and looking out over their beautiful backyard/garden. The neighbourhood was a wonderful place to explore, with plenty of cafes, restaurants and unique shops and only a 20 min. walk to VondelPark. The tram stops are a convenient 5 min. walk. There were also bikes to use, and although I didn't get to use them, I certainly appreciated that they were there. Thank you Katherine & Peter for giving me the opportunity to stay at your lovely and inviting home.

We spent two months in Katherine's home during April and May 2022. It was perfect for us, a lovely home in a great neighbourhood. We especially loved the garden out back and watching the birds; the diverse neighbourhood; and the nearby park. Katherine was very helpful as a host, they met with us to explain how things worked in the house, and gave us lots of great tips about the neighbourhood. Highly recommended.

We spent 6 weeks in Katherine's apartment, which was an absolutely fabulous experience. She went above and beyond to welcome us with a milliard of thoughtful gestures. For example, she left rain boots for our daughter that she had on hand, and gardening equipment that are easy for a 7-year old to handle. The apartment is practical, we could make a variety of food, took advantage of the barbeque and ate outside in the garden many times. The neighborhood is lovely, calm, but still well connected. Lots of parks around, including a swimming pool in walking distance.
