Description

This is a very attractive and comfortable place to live. The front living room is wonderfully bright and an excellent place to work, read, entertain or hang out. The master bedroom is quite large with a double bed. The smaller bedroom is a study/guest room with a desk, bookshelves, and single bed. Bedding, linens and towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher and washing machine, microwave, cooking utensils, dishes, glasses, etc. There's a small, very clean bathroom with bath and shower. The flat has high ceilings, wooden floors and attractive furnishings with rugs, pictures, and books. It’s a very quiet building consisting of 8 flats with a mix of friendly singles and young families. Outdoor space consists of a communal garden. Stamford Hill is a pleasant, diverse neighborhood . It’s a ten-minute walk to the food stores, restaurants, cafes, and shops of popular Stoke Newington and fifteen minutes to Dalston’s open air market and iconic night life. It’s a similarly short walk to two lovely parks – Clissold and Springfield -- as well as the river Lea, West Reservoir and Woodberry Wetlands. There are loads of yoga, pilates, tai chi, etc. classes and gyms in the area. It's exceptionally safe. Transportation is excellent. It’s a 10 minute ride (five bus lines) to the fast Victorian Line at Seven Sisters (one stop to Finsbury Park and change across the platform for the Piccadilly Line, which goes to Heathrow). A 10 minute bus ride in the opposite direction goes to Dalston’s two overground lines and their east-west connections. Stoke Newington rail station is a 5 minute walk. There are ample bike lanes and it’s an easy commute to central London and the financial district. I’m a retired academic who's been happily renting to academics and selected others, for almost 40 years, both in the US and the UK (including a former Miss America!). I've always had happy tenants, some of whom became friends.
