Description
My wife and I are looking for a visiting family or academic who may need a temporary home during the Spring 2027 semester at Penn State. We raised our children, who are both off to college now, in this home, and we will be abroad during my sabbatical in early 2027. Our house is really perfect for a visiting academic who wants the comforts of home, a peaceful college neighborhood, and proximity (~1 mile walking or biking) to both Penn State's main campus and downtown State College. Our home has 3 bedrooms, an office, and 2 bathrooms. Large, open living room and dining area. The backyard includes an enclosed porch and large patio which are more easily enjoyed during the Spring months. We have mini-split heat pumps in the bedrooms and living room for winter heating. TV, wifi, washer/dryer all available. There is also a rec room in the basement with TV, sofas and baseboard heating.

Comments: We are looking for a place that can accommodate my wife and I, so one bedroom would probably suffice. But we would like to be able to accommodate a brief visit from our college age children or a parent.

Comments: Dates are negotiable. We will be living abroad for 3+ months during sabbatical (spring semester) in early 2027. We have a private 1 bedroom apartment in the basement that we will move into for brief periods in early January and early May.
