A taste of Tuscany and Umbria

It is situated in the town-city of Cittá di Castello, in Umbria (the Green Heart of Italy), 12 km for the border with Tuscany. Our house, built in the 1950's, has a yard in front and back and was completely restructured 2 years ago. We think light is very important for the best quality of life so we sought to make a simple home, with a lot of light. We are very happy with the result! Our home is located in the town of Città di Castello, in Umbria (the Green Heart of Italy), just 12 km from the border with Tuscany. The house was built in the 1950s and has a garden both at the front and at the back. It has been completely renovated. We believe that natural light is very important for quality of life, so we have tried to create a simple home filled with light. The house has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, one of them with a Jacuzzi whirlpool bath. There is also a living room with a sitting and TV area, with a flat-screen TV. The raised, open-plan study has a 4-metre-long desk and Wi-Fi. At the back of the house, there is a large open-plan space combining the living room, dining area and kitchen. It is separated from the back garden by a wall made entirely of glass doors. The dining table can seat up to 12 people. The kitchen, with a peninsula, is fully equipped with everything needed for those who enjoy cooking. In the pantry next to the kitchen, you will also find a professional stainless-steel meat slicer, perfect for preparing the wonderful prosciutto and other excellent cured meats from the region. You will also find a container of olive oil produced by our family about 40 minutes south of here, near Lake Trasimeno. The house has central underfloor heating throughout, beneath the oak flooring.
