Large, self-contained, fully furnished and fully equipped ground-floor apartment with large courtyard, in bayside, inner-city suburb of Elwood in Melbourne, Australia, 5 kms from CBD, close to schools, shops, trains, trams and buses. Apartment consists of large main bedroom with high-quality queen-sized bed (5' x 6'4") (UK king-sized), bedside drawers, additional drawers and built-in wardrobes; 2nd bedroom/study with single bed, large built-in wardrobes, chest of drawers, desk and bookshelves; newly renovated bathroom with both bath and shower, and separate WC, and built-in laundry unit with washing machine; newly renovated kitchen; living/dining room with sofa and an armchair, television, bookshelves, and extendable table and chairs; courtyard with outdoor dining setting and BBQ. Two large rotary clothes lines for communal use are located in full sun at the rear of the property, very close to the apartment. Indoor drying racks are also provided. This pleasant apartment is located in a 1970s style apartment block of fifteen units in inner suburban Melbourne in a quiet, leafy street, near a park beside a canal that runs to the sea. Trams to the Alfred Hospital, University of Melbourne, Royal Melbourne Hospital, Royal Women’s Hospital and RMIT University and the city centre stop at one end of the street. Also in easy walking distance are buses to La Trobe University, Monash University Clayton Campus and Ripponlea Station for transport to any hospital or university campus in Melbourne. It is very close to a primary school and secondary school. A small shopping centre is around the corner; a larger shopping area, well-supplied with cafes and restaurants, is a 5-minute walk. Elwood Beach is a 10-minute walk. A cycle path runs alongside the nearby canal, connecting with the bayside cycle-path system, enabling access to many beaches and their amenities. A man’s bike is available for use and is stored under cover in the communal area near the drying lines. The local toy library is just around the corner and there are several playgrounds in the immediate vicinity. The apartment is equipped with high-speed internet. The large, modern kitchen has an electric oven and gas stove-top, microwave, dishwasher and all necessary cooking equipment. There are effective panel wall heaters in bedrooms and living/dining room. All utilities and services (water, electricity, gas, internet, council taxes, management company charges) are in the name of the owner and provided for an additional $70 per week. Cleaning after occupation is provided free of additional charge.
